PEYTON SIMS graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with her Bachelor's in Journalism.  After falling in love with photography my sophomore year of high school, she's spent the last six years growing her small business while also allowing herself to learn and grow as a creator. I hope that one day, I can pursue being a full-time artist and storyteller – any creative field can be a scary (yet fulfilling) path!

HELLO

During her final year at UT-Austin, Peyton was the Associate Photo Editor for the Daily Texan, a fashion photographer for SPARK magazine and she's a true crime podcast producer for The Drag Audio Production House where she's working on a long form story about a series of murders that happened in her hometown of Texarkana during 1946. In the past, Peyton served as a senior photographer and a Life and Arts reporter for the Daily Texan, and she was the Head photographer for ORANGE magazine. You can also find an article written about her photography business on Voyage Austin.  During June of 2022, Peyton went on a UT Maymester to study Documentary Photography in Prague, Czech Republic. When she returned home, she interned at the Texarkana Gazette as an event photographer and at Four States Living magazine as a lifestyle photographer and a feature writer. Her freelance work has been featured in Austin Monthly and Austin Woman magazine. When Peyton has free time, she loves scrapbooking, finding new cozy coffee shops in Austin and hanging out with her cat children, Ru and Birdi.
